Quick Weekend Cinnamon Rolls
Happy weekend! One of my favorite things about the weekend is having time for brunch. And a brunch, isn’t a brunch without something sweet. I love pancakes, waffles, and my absolute favorite is cinnamon rolls! I love making homemade cinnamon rolls, but don’t always have the time. In case you’re like me, and are looking for cinnamon rolls that aren’t from a can, but also don’t take forever, look no further! Below is my easy mini cinni recipe.
What you need for the cinnamon rolls:
Two cans of crescent rolls
A stick of butter
Cinnamon sugar (let me take a moment to plug the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cinnadust - game. changer.) but any cinnamon sugar mix will work!
A baking dish (I would go a little bigger than the one pictured here as my rolls in the middle didn’t fully get golden!
What you need for the frosting:
1 cup of powdered sugar
2 tablespoons of milk (more if you want the frosting to be thinner)
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375
Roll out your crescents and separate the first can in half
Press together the perforations so that your butter and cinnamon sugar mix won’t leak through
4. Melt your stick of butter, and spread on with a rubber brush or a spoon, whichever you have
5. Sprinkle your cinnamon sugar mixture on top of your buttered rectangle crescent.
6. Roll your crescent rectangle starting with the longer side at the top, down.
7. Cut the rolled crescent into small pieces to make your mini cinnamon rolls
8. Place close together in your baking dish
9. Repeat with your other crescent rectangles and continue filling your baking dish.
10. Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
11. While the rolls are baking, mx together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla - add more milk once mixed it you want the frosting to be thinner.
12. Frost rolls while hot once done and enjoy! :)
These were YUM! Make sure to let me know if you try these out at home, I know you’ll enjoy them as much as we do. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
