Mother’s Day 2021
Hey friends, happy Sunday!
Can you believe that it’s ALREADY MAY?! 2020 felt like the never ending year, but 2021 is flying by! Going into May means some long weekend holidays are just around the corner! To kick those off, we have Mother’s Day coming up in just ONE week! That’s right, it is next Sunday - May 9th. If that’s snuck up on you, no worries! I have you covered here with 5 gift guides to help jump start your shopping!
Gift Guide 1: Mother’s Day finds for the mom that loves makeup!
Foundations: Estee Lauder double wear (heavy coverage, but doesn’t feel heavy), Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless (full coverage, but again not too heavy), and Ilia Beauty skin tint (for mommas wanting lighter/everyday on the go coverage. Contains spf 40!)
Laura Mercier translucent setting powder: the best out there in my personal o.
Lippies: Charlotte Tilbury pillow talk lipstick and liner duo. My FAVE. Now comes in 3 shades!, Tarte SEA lip balm/gloss - super hydrating and comes in so many colors. Can be bought separately or together as a duo!
Lancome highlighter: prettiest glimmer ever!
Eyes: Kat Von D tattoo liner: finally a liquid liner that I feel like you can’t mess up! Clinique mascara extreme volume: the ONLY mascara I truly love. Gives you va-va-voom lashies!
Fenty Beauty Primer: I actually don’t know what I did before this existed.
Blush: Clinique cheek pop! Comes in an array of colors. Used multiple ones all through college and even still today loooove these.
Gift Guide 2: Mother’s Day Finds for the Mom who Loves Skincare
Cleansers: Drunk Elephant (my personal fave) and Tula’s cleansing gel. Both are fantastic and both are clean ingredient products!
Vitamin C Serums: to help us to look alive! Again - drunk elephant and Tula
Dr. Dennis Gross at home peel pads: 🎶 every little thing he does is magic. 🎶 This is no exception. His exfoliating pads are bomb too!
Retinol product: Drunk Elephant of course. But this stuff is POTENT. Warn your momma if you get her this lol start with a little and work your way up!
Moisturizers: Tula’s 24/7 moisturizer is great. I also love making a moisturizer “cocktail” out of my Drunk Elephant products. If you are only going to try 1, I would recommend the duo of the babyfacial and the oil drops. They are chefs kiss
Laneige lip mask: comes in a mask and a balm. Both are great - but personally, I always go for the Gummy Bear flavor. Thank me later 😉
SK-II products: essence and toner - pricey. But so good if you’re looking for a splurge!
Tula cooling products: facial mist and rose glow and get it. These have been life savers before and after having to put on my mask. Makes my skin feel so good and refreshed!
Gift Guide 3: Mother’s Day finds for the mom who loves to exercise (or at least look like she does)!
Bras/crops/tanks: okay so these are cute crops and tanks and if that’s what you’re looking for yay! HOWEVER, the green bra pictured above is lululemon and it’s actual name is the “like a cloud bra”. A cloud indeed. I own this in 3 colors and if I could commit to one bra for the rest of forever, this would be it. So soft. So comfy. Get yourself AND your mom one (that’s what I did for Christmas). You’ll be glad you did!
Shoes: I’m an avid walker. These New Balance fresh foam shoes are the BEST for walking/running. These and the Adidas ultraboosts pictured above are both on sale on amazon!
Shorts: my absolute favorite lulu shorts are the Tracker shorts. If your mom wants a little bit longer option, the Track That short is a more modest sister to the Trackers. I will link both! The other pair are my new favorite shorts from Academy. These have built in spandex shorts that don’t ride up!
Jackets/pullovers: the lulu define jacket is one everyone should have in at least one color. The other options are all Athleta aka softest. clothes. ever. Seriously so comfy. So perfect for athleisure.
Leggings/Joggers: I picked the align leggings from lulu and the salutation joggers from Athleta. If you know anything about these, you know these are pushing it being classified as exercise wear. So let’s call them lounge and let your mom live her best life in them! Ha!
Gift Guide 4: Mother’s Day finds for the Mom who Loves Shoes
I won’t go through this entire list other than to say I own an embarrassingly high number of these options 😂 98% of these are Steve Madden, and we love Steve in this home. His site always has a discount code if you sign up for emails/texts! So make sure you do that to get a discount!
Gift Guide 5: Mother’s Day Finds for the Mom who loves to accessorize
Necklaces: Kendra Scott has a ton of cute chain options that you can then get one or multiple charms to go on. My mom has a small chain with the little cross charm pictured here and always gets so many compliments on it! I love how you can express your own personal style with all of the options they have!
Earrings: so many good simple studs, and large statement earrings. My mom likes the hoops she has from here because she says they are so light weight!
Rings: again, sooo many options! A simple band, a stack set, or a wrap ring. You have a ton of options which means there is something for everyone!
I hope this helps you jump start your shopping if you’ve not done so already! If you don’t have one of these stores nearby, I would recommend getting something ordered today! Just remember - your mom already feels like you are her greatest gift. Make sure to hug her extra tight and let her know how much you love her and appreciate her this Mother’s day. Don’t live close to your mom? Send some flowers, send a handwritten card, or give her a call this Sunday. I’m sure that seems small but I know it will make her whole day! Have a great rest of your weekend!
