Nordstrom Sale 2021
Hey guys! It’s that time again for the Nordstrom anniversary sale. I know the social media space is SUPER saturated with posts about this. I have intentionally decided to wait to post about it (and for a while, wasn’t even sure if I would). Fact is, where I live - I don’t have a Nordstrom nearby to shop in person. In addition to that, most people who are shopping it, don’t get to shop until later in the sale. I wanted to wait to post so I could post more of a “what’s still in stock” post for those of you that the sale is just now opening up to.
I struggled to know if I should even cover this sale at all, because I feel like year after year the items become harder and harder to snag and also - I would never want to pressure anyone to get a credit card to have to shop a sale. Just feels kind of yucky to me. So full disclaimer - I do not think this is the greatest sale of the year by any means, I do not think there is anything in this sale that anyone HAS TO HAVE that would justifying an extra credit card necessary. However, I do think that if there are some items you have your eye on that you need, and you already have the credit card, why not take advantage?
Okay, rant over! Now that I’ve said allllll of that - let’s jump into it. I went through last night and just did a quick inventory of what even still had good amounts of these items available. I wanted to cover 5 categories: Accessories, Athleisure, Beauty, Fall Fashion Finds, and Shoes. I have created product collages for you below! Like I mentioned above, no Nordstrom nearby means my order is just getting to me today so no try ons have happened yet! If you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to reach out to me here or on Instagram!
Accessories
Accessories! It’s so much fun looking through all of the hats, bags, and jewelry. I have included several wool fedora hats for fall! There are 2 rag and bone options that are a bit more pricey, and then a cheaper option that is also super cute! For jewelry - I feel like there’s always a few good staple or layering pieces and then some $6k diamond options (lol). I’m super into gold jewelry and loved the two pieces pictured above! What I’m most excited about this year is the bag options. They had me drooling! Love all of the Longchamp options, especially the backpack and expandable tote - they are PERFECT for traveling! I also love the leather bag for a work bag (it is on the pricier side). All of this linked below :)
Athleisure
Now for my absolute favorite category: Athleisure!! I have lived in this category since the pandemic started!
This year, there are several great options! So many fabulous brands - Alo, Nike, Beyond Yoga, etc. I have included some of my faves but there are soooo many other great finds not pictured here. Some of my favorites include bike shorts - the Nike ones are great basics, and the Beyond Yoga ones are adorable and sparkly. I got the black because I was worried the mocha might look too much like skin with how pale I am, ha! Both of these come with matching sports bras that make the cutest matching set. I also threw in the Alo sports bra that is more like a crop. I love it so much and it comes in multiple colors!
Throw and go pullovers put the “leisure” in “athleisure” for me. I love a good sweatshirt or comfy jacket to run errands in or throw on after a workout (mainly to run errands in lol). I’ve put a few options above that are super comfy, and come in multiple colors - all linked below!
Beauty
Next up is beauty finds!
Haircare options include shampoos like the olaplex combo kit, and the Oribe Gold Lust kit. I use Oribe gold lust products and truly believe they have transformed my hair. They make it so soft, and help repair broken or overly processed or bleached hair (like mine!). There are also several styling tools on sale! Of course, the N sale is known for having the best deal on T3 products during the sale. They also have the ghd line on sale as well this year, which is my personal favorite. They have the curling iron I have, use, and love on sale! It is pricey but I can tell you from experience - so worth it! To finish rounding up hair care products, we have several great finishing product options - like the Oribe set of texturizing spray and dry shampoo. These are the holy grail of styling products. I bought this kit last year and LOVED it. Oribe is truly the gold standard. And then of course, silk pillowcases. I LOVE mine - these rarely go on sale so stock up!
For makeup, there are a ton of options. A lot of those options, though are big kits of things that I don’t want all of. For example, the Charlotte Tillbury kits have more products than I’d ever use or want, or have products in the kit that I just don’t care for. Put the pillow talk lipstick/liner duo on sale again like last year, and I am THERE. Unfortunately for me this year, there just was not much I loved in makeup. Of course the Riki loves Riki makeup mirrors are always fabulous, and the Laura Mercier setting powder combo is also awesome! Supergoop is pushing it with all of their random kits this year, but they had a few good options!
As far as smells go, my everyday go to perfume is on sale! Burberry her! It is a dream. Stock up! Also, love that the “boy smells” candle sets were included this year. I feel like I single handedly keep Bath and Body works in business by buying out all of their fall candles, but if more “manly” scents are your thing - it’s your time to shine with this sale! Great for a gift, or just for yourself :). All linked below!
Fall Fashion Finds
On to fall fashion options. The Nordstrom sale is known for the great sweaters - and to be honest I was a little disappointed in the selection this year. Of course, there are the always fabulous staples like the Madewell color block cardigan (but sadly it sold out like it does every year). As I said at the beginning, I’m trying to post things still in stock for those of you that are just now able to shop. Like always, there are the barefoot dreams cardis and those still seem to have a good amount in a lot of sizes left!
There is also always great designer denim included in the sale and this year is no exception! Several great fall bottoms options. Denim, skirts, and leggings (like my go to Spanx leggings) abound - and are still in stock! I bought a pair of Levi’s (should have sized up so keep in mind should you order some), a Madewell pair and a pair of blank nyc jeans (both of those ran tts).
Lots of good jackets and coats too. I splurged and bought the leather allsaints jacket this year, but am not going to keep it because I don’t like the big belt at the bottom. There is also a non belted option that is leather as well! Also, several great puffer coats and long wool trenches that are great for winter! Not so much here, since in AR our winters tend to stay a balmy 65 lol. Linking all of these below!
Shoes
On to my favorite category in this sale every year - shoes!
Several great fall booties this year! I have loved the Steve Madden and Vince Camuto options over the past few years, and this year is no exception. Still a lot of the “top picks” for booties in stock in multiple sizes.
Unfortunately, a lot of the tennis shoes I loved sold out within like a day of early access opening - like the Adidas Ultraboosts I really wanted. However, still several options in stock. Linking my favorite Nike options here!
Also great work shoe options that will work for transitional shoes from summer to fall like the Vince Camuto heel sandal and the Steve Madden mule. I bought the Steve Madden mules from last year’s sale and have loved them for work or to dress up a more casual outfit! Linking all below!
I hope this was helpful for you to see what is still in stock! Make sure to let me know what items you end up buying, and as always - happy shopping! :)
